news from promoter:

The promoter has put limited of advance tickets on sale at a lower price than on the door. There's only a limited number but it's the best way to guarantee entrance and pay less than most people. Here's the link:

Hello there, I'm one of the promoters for the gig. We've only put a very limited batch of tickets on advance sale, so don't worry if you don't buy one you can still pay on the door. If you want to get on the cheaplist (£7 entrance) then email me the FULL names of all those you want on the list to ross@transmission.uk.com.

Advance tickets are, of course, the best way to guarantee entree because if it's full on the night we'll have to start doing one-in one-out type thing.

They played only 3 (or 4) songs last night.
Dan and one of young kids from the audience started fighting.

I felt like Im too old to be there...

Dan didn't throw any punches. Some kid (who moments earlier had been singing along to 'Part Time Punks') got a bit too close for Dan's comfort I think. Anyway, something happened, words were exchanged and the kid took a swing at Dan. The club's security people moved in very quickly to break things up. Can't blame TVP's for calling a halt at that point. Part of the problem, in my opinion, was that the Rex Club is (as its' name suggests) a club and not a proper music venue. That incident apart, it was a great night!

Incidentally, I understand apologies were later exchanged between Dan and the young man in question. 8)

'Three Wishes' started the set. They also attempted a song called, 'I Get Scared...' which appears on the new album. Dan didn't play too much on that one as there was a problem with his guitar amp/lead. 'Look Back In Anger' was played at the soundcheck but I guess they didn't get to play it during the gig, on account of the aforementioned incident.
