Who's going to win the World Cup?
How do you think will win then?
As a German living in Scottish exile, I have only 2 big wishes for the world cup: that neither the Netherlands nor England win.
I admire the trust that at least 3 people here have in Germany (probably Englishmen fearing the worst ), but I can assure you, that Germany winning would be close to a miracle. That would be as if Dan ever came back to record another record after being away for 10 years... oh, he has done that, yes? Hmm, perhaps Germany will win after all!
Have a great summer

after last night i am not too sure if germany will make it to the quarter finals. we will see. it is all up to mad jens.
england has, by far, the better football songs. but this will not be enough to win the cup, right?
by the way, wreckless eric is rereleasing his masterpiece "whole wide world" as a single on the fierce panda label. the song has new lyrics and is retitled "whole wide world 4 england". it is great. tragically, the song won't make sense after only two weeks...

I had thought the one in the poll above choosing Italy had been me (I always pick them by default, because I think they are always capable of winning anything if they get their act together), but perhaps it wasn't... anyway congratulations to Italy and Keg!Keg wrote:I had £10 on Italy to win the World Cup at 12/1. Happy days
Shame it's all over for another 4 years.
