Yesterday the postman delivered:

Throbbing Gristle - D.o.A. The Third And Final Report
Throbbing Gristle - 20 Jazz Funk Greats

I'd only heard one TG song before and thought I'd dive in and try 'em.

I forgot to mention. The initial pressing came with a bonus 7" of "Salvador Dali's Garden Party" and the flipside of "If I Was Your Girlfriend". Which is really cool. Great loud distorted guitar on that one!
Oh yea... just to confuse things more, some also came with a tour poster...

It mentioned it on the back, but mine wasn't stamped with a number :(
I used to have If I Was Your Girlfriend and a bunch of other rare/unreleased TVPs tracks, but my computer got wiped and I lost them all. Heartbreaking.

Even if mine was supposed to come with the extra 7", I bought a Stone Roses record from the same place a few months back with a sticker on it saying 'FREE ARTWORK PRINT INSIDE' and next to the price someone in the shop had written 'No print'
Only reason it had no print is 'cos they'd stuck it on the bleedin wall!
Should've asked for my print :P

I was a very big fan of "Throw that Beat in the Garbagecan". I even had the luck to see them live around 1993 and to meet the base player in 2001. We were chatting for hours about the band and he was really happy to meet someone who actually really knew the music. Nice summer music!

Great memories!

And the 'Made in Japan' was mint but no 7". Also no poster... The print on the back says that the first 500 come with the 7". So I was probably too late.

D'Oh!

UPDATE: I just found the poster in the 'Made in Japan' - Nice one! :-)

Last record I bought was The Wave Pictures album, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet! Incidentally, Dave from Wave Pictures plays drums on the recorded version of a new TVP's song, 'Walk Towards The Light'.

Keg, you mentioned Lovely Eggs.. I saw them play at the 12 Bar in London a couple of years ago..thought they were excellent! Is the album worth getting?

No album out yet! They've only released two singles so far, but I'd recommend both. The latest is out via Cherryade.
