Unfortunately the Paris gig (June, 16th) is cancelled again :-( Which should mean that Toulouse the following day is off as well. That's a shame. A girl from Barcelona emailed me the other day asking about this. Having been disappointed by the cancellation of the appearance at the Primavera Festiva...

My name is Luca

Here's another TVP-related one for you. John and Gerard Bennet, who played on the first TVP single and helped Dan out at the 100 Club and Brighton gigs last August, have formed a new project called Luca. I think Ed Ball helped them out with the recordings. There's four tracks to listen to. http://ww...

European summer dates 2006

The following dates have been announced / mentioned recently. Given the history of scheduled non-UK TVP appearances over the last 12 months, I'd be wary of late cancellations, especially if making travelling arrangements. Saturday 3 June Barcelona Primavera Festival http://www.primaverasound.com Fri...

Woog Riots World Cup Song

Germany's Woog Riots have composed a song for the World Cup, called "Football Round the Clock". You can download it from this page. It's a catchy number, as you'd expect from them.

And I'm still recovering from what was a fantastic night! It's also the first time that a set list I hastily scribbled out appears on the web! I picked up a set list from the ARF gig at the Bull and Gate last August. It would have appeared on the internet, but I somehow lost it when I got back home...

Berlin 20.05.06

Jowe Head played a set in Berlin on Saturday at Galerie Praxis Hagen, accompanied by Lee Mcfadden on bass / guitar and Ian Wadley, an Australian drummer who lives in Berlin. Jowe was to have played some songs with Nikki Sudden at this gig, but recent sad events prevented this. Apparently they only h...

Persil

PERSIL LANCASTER YORKSHIRE HOUSE 01.05.06 I saw Persil on Monday night as they made their third visit to Lancaster's Feedback club in just over 12 months. It was a shorter set than the many Persil fans in the audience would have liked because they weren't headlining (Young People were). The set got...

I saw them live last night in Lancaster and bought the new LP there. Great as always. I love this band. They should be massive.

Dave Gilmour

I thought this tale was worth repeating - Paul Groovy's recollections of the TVPs supporting Dave Gilmour at the Hammersmith Odeon, 1984 (originally posted on the Jowe Head Yahoo group in January 2003). Hi folks, time for another of my "I was there" posts again! The TVPs were supposed to have been p...
