Re: Thee Strawberry Mynde

My band Thee Strawberry Mynde have got a few gigs already in the diary for this year. First one is in a couple of weeks with King Mojo. Also this year we will be releasing our debut album. It's only taken us 20 years to get round to it! Friday 20th January - with King Mojo at The Music Lounge, 21D Y...

Re: What was the last record you bought?

Tito Ramirez 'Be My Girl' b/w 'Lonely Man' Sounds like it was recorded in the 60s but it's a new release from Spain which has now sold out. I was lucky enough to bag a copy from Spain and it was £20 cheaper than what Juno were asking for the 45! I can see 'Lonely Man' going down at storm at my Get H...

Suggs & Ed Ball?

Does anyone know anything about this song? It seems that the video was directed by Ed Ball but did it ever get released as a single or maybe appear on an album?

Those Unfortunates

Not sure if anyone has posted about this band before but when I first heard them I could tell that they were influenced by The TVP's and sure enough when I looked on their website that listed The TVP's alongside The Kinks as an influence on the bands sound. Here is their most recent single - ezmfKfm...

Re: What are you listening to?

With all the hot weather I've been listening to a lot of Rocksteady of late.
This tune is getting played to death on the turntable at the moment.

Re: Gig chat

I went to see the return of The Moment the other week at The Borderline in London. Loved them back in the 80's but never got to see them live at the time. The band have a bit of a TVP's link as Ed Ball co-produced their debut (and so far only) album 'The Work Gets done' back in 1985. Anyway, the ban...

Missing Album?

The album 'A Memory Is Better Than Nothing' seems to be missing from the discography on this site.

I picked up a copy of this album a few months back.
Have to say that it's well worth getting even if you own the original record. Shame that The Direct Hits won't be getting back together anytime soon as I'd love to see them live.

I got the above from a short biography of Oscar Wilde. Have you been searching for the past 3 years for the answer Dav...
